Modern Mechanics / Mechanix

One of the many magazines that explained modern technology to the lay population in startling excited ways (and built on this to demonstrate basic information) was MODERN MECHANICS, which changed its name in the early 1930's to MODERN MECHANIX. Perhaps they thought it sounded more Modern. In 1938 it changed it name to MECHANIX ILLUSTRATED.
