NATURE was a popular science magazine published in Baltimore by the American Nature Association, beginning in 1923. In 1926 they went from an unchanging design (mostly abstract with small illustrations of scenes from Nature) to photographs and then to painted covers. In the next eight years they ran some beautiful covers, but by 1934 had dumped the expensive color covers in favor of a text listing of the contents of the issue. This magazine should not be confused with the British science magazine of the same name, still currently being published.
