SUNSET survives today a a monthly lifestyle magazine, but in its first incarnation it was a travel advertisement vehicle for the Southern Pacific Railroad. They sold it to new owners who made it into a regional magazine about the West. So we have the early issues of SUNSET in the Travel and Regional category. Just before the Depression began, the moribund SUNSET was sold to the Lane interests, who converted it into a House and Garden magazine with concentration on the West. Here are a couple of the earlier issues, just for fun.
