Early ad for Campbell's Soups, from the October, 1915 issue of HEARST'S MAGAZINE. A modern Columbus discovers the land of Campbell's Tomato Soup. Yes, literally, a New World vegetable awaited him. What did the Italians eat before Columbus? Cute little poem does not indicate earlier ownership of land in question, perhaps by other soup manufacturers.
